TNI AL, Belawan,- Commander of the Main Base of the Indonesian Navy I (Danlantamal I) Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Jasiman Purba, SE, CHRMP., represented by Aspotmar Danlantamal I Colonel Marinir Hendra Zarnadi, S.Sos., M.Si. , M.Tr. Opsla., attended the Coordination Meeting for Handling Hydrometeorological Disasters in the North Sumatra Region, held at the BPSDM Hall of North Sumatra Province, Jalan Ngalengko No. 01, Medan, North Sumatra, Tuesday (3/12/2024).
The Coordination Meeting was led by the Acting Governor of North Sumatra Dr. Drs. Agus Fatoni, M.Si. , and attended by the Main Secretary of BNPB Rustian, S.Si. , Apt., M.Kes., and representatives of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives H. Azhari Tambunan.
The Hydrometeorological Disaster Management Coordination Meeting was held as an effort to anticipate the relatively high rainfall recently throughout North Sumatra and increase the potential for natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and flash floods.
Through the coordination meeting held, it is hoped that all stakeholders can be more prepared and have adequate knowledge in dealing with disasters that can occur at any time.
Also present at the event were the Head of the North Sumatra Provincial BPBD, Tuahta Ramajaya Saragih, the ranks of the North Sumatra Provincial Forkopimda, representatives of the North Sumatra Provincial BPBD Regency/City, and other invitees.
